Assuming you are successful, you will take a simple nomadic tribe and turn it into a post-industrial empire with aircraft carriers, nuclear bombs and the ability to reach another planet (though that is where the game ends). As the game progresses, you build more cities, more soldiers and develop technologies that will take you to our current level of technological development.
